The water would eventually evaporate and turn into a gas!
When water is heated, the molecules and atoms vibrate faster and space between atoms increases. Water will begin to evaporate when the temperature hits boiling point (100 C or 212 F). Otherwise the atoms will become more still and come togeter without the heat.
