Inclined Plane is one of the six simple machines and one of the most commonly used one.
Mechanical advantage for Inclined plane, or for that matter any of the machine, is given as
MA=X/YMA=X/Y
X = Ratio of the force you have to apply for meeting the objective without using the tool.
Y = Force you have to apply for meeting your objective using the tool.
For Inclined Plane the numerator is the weight of the object to be lifted - Mg
and denominator is what you apply = Mg sin (theta)(theta)
Hence MA= 1/sin(theta)1/sin(theta)
