In my opinion, Henry Cabot Lodge Sr was one of the most prominent imperialists of his time and perhaps American history.
He was a noted conservative who believed that American global expansion, both in North America and elsewhere, will only improve the socio-economic conditions of the occupied people.
He was advocate of intervention in Cuba and voted for the Spanish-American war. He was also a supporter of the United States invasion and occupation of Philippines.
