Gastrin is a hormone that is responsible for gastric acid secretion. Too much gastrin (hypergastrinemia) results to excessive secretion of gastric acid, which erodes the inner lining of the digestive tract. Consequently, the digestive tract gets thinner and this can cause stomach ulcers.
Answer:
An excess of gastrin in the stomach will stimulate the acid release from the stomach. Due to high level of gastric juice in the stomach and small intestine ulcer may cause.
These ulcers may burst at later stages. The higher level of gastric juice may also disturb the inner lining of stomach and can cause diarrhea as well.
Due to the high pH of gastric juice the mucosal lining of the stomach degrades which results in the development of ulcer.
