So the graph of this function is shown in the figure below. This is a parabola as you can see. The roots of this functions, that is, the x-intercepts are:

$y=-x+x^2 \\ y=x(x-1) \\ \\ x_{1}=0 \ and \ x_{2}=1$

As you can see in the figure. This function decreases from $(-\infty,0.5)$ and increases from $(0.5, \infty)$

Finally, it is important to note that the vertex is the point:

$V(0.5,-0.25)$
