According to the politic and point of view of Neville Chamberlain, the Munich pact was just a small modification of the Treaty of Versailles as Chamberlain considered that avoiding any open confrontation with the Nazi Germany and granting its pretentions would prevent any possible conflict. His main intention with this strategy was to fire a war beacuse of a distant nation in Central Europe.

This position carried out a lot of criticism over Chamberlain since one year later, in 1939, he had to declare war to Germany after Hitler invaded Poland.
