The United States Constitution gave the Central Federal Government much more power. It was needed to act for the country as a whole. Under the Articles of Confederation, the U.S. was similar to today's European Union..........The Constitution is considered to be a living document because it is always open to constant change whether it is by ratifying the Constitution with new amendments or it is by repealing an existing amendment.
