Answer: Primatology

Primatology is the study of the primate order of mammals, other than humans (Homo sapiens). Nonhuman primates include tarsiers, monkeys, and apes and thus the study of a chimpanzee is an excellent example of primatology.

It has 300 or more species and is the third most diverse order of mammals,  rodents, and bats being the first and second.

There are notable variations between some primate groups. Compared with body weight, the primate brain is larger than that of other terrestrial mammals. The eyes face forward in all primates, too.
