Cellular respiration. aerobic glycolysis is the synthesis of glucose to ATP in humans
Answer: The correct answer is- cellular respiration.
Cellular respiration is a metabolic process in which sugar ( such as glucose) is oxidized to release CO2 ( carbon dioxide), water, and large amount of energy in the form of ATP.
It can be primarily divided into two types that is aerobic ( that requires presence of oxygen such as in plants and animals) and anaerobic cellular respiration ( in absence of oxygen such as in bacteria).
Aerobic ( that takes place in plants and animals) can be further divided into- 1) glycolysis, 2) Kreb cycle, and 3) Electron transport chain.
Thus, cellular respiration is performed by both plants and animals to break down sugars to provide energy in the form of ATP
