Boycotts involve engaging in refusal to buy goods or services of a company and attempting to encourage the third parties to refuse to do business with them as a sign of protest. A boycott was used most by labor organizations because of bad labor practice and poor environmental record.

A boycott is an announcement of willing and deliberate abstention from practicing, purchasing, or trading with an individual, business, or nation as an illustration of demonstration, generally for ethical, political, social or environmental goals. The main goal of a boycott is to administer remarkable financial loss on the target, or to register a moral indignity, to seek to constrain the target to modify an unsatisfactory behavior. Boycotts involve openly and consistently evading buying from a certain group. The two main reasons why people use boycotts include bad labor practice and poor environmental record.
