After listening to some of the music samples, how would you describe Baroque music to someone who had not heard it before? Choose at least one piece of music to discuss in detail. What instruments do you think the work uses? Who composed the work? What does the work sound like?

Respuesta :

Baroque music is highly ornamental and contains numerous modulations and counterpoints and soloists and similar things which wasn't common at the time. A piece of music can be Well-Tempered Clavier by Bach. In the compositions found in the Well-Tempered Clavier collection, Bach introduced numerous new concepts that were designed to teach others new revolutionary things in music. He mostly focuses on the Piano but a harpsichord and an Organ can also be used. There's a huge variety of styles and irregular number of measures and a variety of music coda.

When I think of Baroque music I think of ballroom music from movies set to take place a long time ago. There are multiple instruments being played and usually there are many soloists. The piece of music I'd like to discuss would be "Well-Tempered Clavier" by Bach. He introduced more of the instruments abilities. In his music, there are many styles used, numerious music coda, and an irregular amount of measures.
