Diagonals bisect each other at right angles is the property used to prove AEB ≅ DEC by ASA
What is ASA Congruency ?
The two triangles are said to be congruent if any two angles and sides included between the angles of one triangle are comparable to the corresponding two angles and sides included between the angles of the second triangle.
In the given question
ABCD is a square
A square has equal sides and opposite sides that are parallel to each other.
If E is the point where the diagonals connect
then ∡AEB = ∡DEC (vertically opposite angle)
AE=DE (as diagonals are bisecting each other )
∡ABE = ∡CDE (alternate interior angles)
Therefore the Triangle AEB and DEC are congruent using ASA congruency.
Diagonals bisect each other at right angles is the property used.
