Why did delegates to the second continental congress remain reluctant to break with britain in 1775?

Respuesta :

The correct answer is The delegates worried that independence would destroy political stability

They believed that a sudden independence would cause a lot of political instability since the colonies might start fighting with each other for supremacy or there would be difficulty in maintaining order with the population who might not support a new government or anything similar. They did however break with Britain which proved to be a good thing.
