The US Constitution gave people many ways of participating in change. First, the US Constitution was built upon the right of people to rebel against a government that does not represent them. They built America this way and this is the base of democracy.
The major power citizens have to seek change is through VOTE. This is imposed by the 26th Amendment that guarantees the right to the citizens of the US who are 18 or older to vote.
Citizens also have the right to petition, this is guaranteed by the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution. The right to petition includes federal and state legislatures, courts and executive branches.
Citizens can also seek change in the government by running for office.
