Respuesta :
length in terms of w = 5/2 + 2w
perimeter = w + w + (5/2 + w) + (5/2 + w)
= 4w + 5
perimeter = w + w + (5/2 + w) + (5/2 + w)
= 4w + 5
It is given in the question that,
The length of a rectangle is 5/2 units greater than twice its width.
And it is given that the width is w units .
Therefore length is
[tex]= 2w + \frac{5}{2}[/tex]
And perimeter is the sum of measurement of all sides
[tex]P = w + 2w+ \frac{5}{2} + w +2w+ \frac{5}{2} = 6w + \frac{10}{2} = 6w + 5[/tex]
And that's the required expression .
