do you want it simplified? it would be 3x - 12 = 10 so you add 12 to both sides. 3x= 22 divide both sides by 3, x = 7.3333333 repeated.

add 12   3x=22
divide 3      x= $\frac{22}{3}$
(its a weird decimal so i kept it as a fraction)
