Many British loyalists left the colonies after the Revolutionary War. there land was confiscated and sold or auctioned off. Also large areas of land deecred to some landholders by the King of england were confiscated.

Indian lands were siezed because most had fought for the British.

Once the American revolutionary war got over, People started to fight over land which eventually led to Civil War.

During American Revolutionary war, Britain lost all 13 colonies on which it once governed. There was unrest with the American community as this issue was escalating at rapid pace. There were as much as 9 navy fleets among 13 American colonies who got independence from British and every state had its own army and they were fighting for acquiring of lands. Though Treaty of Paris ended the American revolutionary war but that was only on documents as tensions were growing among United States and Britain consistently because Britishers refused to leave many fronts of its Northwest Territory on the other hand the Americans continued to take property forcefully from the people who supported Britain in the war. The land issue was the major concern after the American revolutionary war got over and it eventually led to Civil war.
