The table below compares the distances between two astronomical bodies and two cities on Earth. Distances in Space and on Earth Bodies/Locations Distance A and B 440 billion km C and D 8,000 km Based on the table, which of the following statements is true?
A space shuttle would take a few seconds to cover the distance between A and B. A space shuttle would take a few days to cover the distance between C and D.
A and B are astronomical bodies.
A and B are cities on Earth.

Respuesta :

Based on the table, if a space shuttle can travel 440 billion kilometers in a few seconds only, then the statement "A and B are Astronomical bodies" are correct. Why? In space travel, light travels at the speed of 300,000 km per second. It is logical that for a space shuttle to be able to travel a billion kilometers in just a few seconds, it travels at the speed of light and therefore is traveling between two astronomical bodies.
