Hey there!

In order to convert a fraction into a decimal, simply divide the numerator of the fraction by the denominator. The numerator is the top part of the fraction while the denominator is the bottom part of the fraction.

For example, in order to turn [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] into a decimal, divide the numerator, which is 1, by the denominator, which is 4.

1 ÷ 4 = 0.25.

Thus, the decimal equivalent of [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] is 0.25.

divide the numerator with the denominator of the fraction with a calculator... they sometimes end up in decimals
