April Carter, a 56-year-old female, was brought to the emergency department by a friend who found her in a stupor. After Dr. Hoogenboom completed a thorough examination and after documenting posturing, echolalia, and echopraxia, April is admitted for further psychological testing. After reviewing the test results, Dr. Hoogenboom diagnoses April with schizophrenic catatonia.
