Water is polar, this means that there are slight charges on the hydrogen and on the negative charge of oxygen that is more electronegative which in the end causes a bent structure. Water is a good solvent which means that ionic substances and polar, such as salts and sugars are able to dissolve in it which is good or very important to living things because as water moves though the cycle it take thousands of nutrients with it which are useful to the living things. Since water helps in the regulation of environment temperature by carrying much of energy to increase the temperature of certain amount of water by a degree, it has high heat capacity. It is a high heat of vaporization because it is useful to humans and animals that sweat as it cools down their bodies. how does it happen?
