Implicit biases are attitudes or stereotypes we all hold that are involuntary and without our intentional control. We are typically not even aware that they're there, but they unconsciously affect our understanding, actions, and decisions. Over time, implicit biases cause us to have feelings and attitudes about other people based on certain characteristics, such as race. Fortunately, we can take steps to examine our implicit biases and reshape them to be more aligned with our conscious beliefs. For this Call to Action assignment, search "Project Implicit Bias Test" in your internet browser to access the test created by Harvard University.
