To complete this final project, your task is to plan and execute an experiment to determine the moles of hydrochloric acid that can be neutralized by an antacid tablet. The antacid tablet that will be provided to you will contain either calcium carbonate, CaCO3, or magnesium hydroxide, Mg(OH)2. The experiment plan must be completed in advance of your final lab period for the semester. During the final lab period, you will have a total of two hours to make any necessary measurements to determine the moles of hydrochloric acid that can be neutralized by your antacid tablet. Your grade for this project will be based on the quality of your experiment design, quality of your collected evidence to support your conclusions, all necessary mathematical work (including units in all equations), and the accuracy of your result.
