Except for maintenance goals, most goals need to describe change, and how that change will be measured. Box 15.3 shows examples of ways to measure change. However, depending on the unique wants, needs, and circumstances of each client, there are many other ways to document change as well. For example:
a) Tracking progress through journal entries
b) Counting the number of social interactions
c) Measuring heart rate variability
d) Recording daily caloric intake
