Sullivan described rejoining the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan as a "key early priority" - the government will negotiate with the UK, France, China, Russia, and Germany (i.e. P5) next month. Some allies of the President are concerned that Biden and his team may renegotiate the agreement too soon, seeing it as a victory and turning a blind eye to Iran's poor human rights record, ballistic missile programs, and attacks on the United States, as well as the coalition forces in the region.
