Your goal is to meet the target heart rate for moderate-intensity activity during these workouts. The target is based on your age. You will measure your heart rate before, during, and 5 to 10 minutes after each activity. Your heart rate indicates how fit you are. You can measure your heart rate by first finding either your carotid or radial artery. Then count the number of heartbeats you feel for 10 seconds. Multiply that number by six to get the number of beats per minute (bpm). When prompted, record your heart rate in the heart rate chart. You will use this information in your last activity to reflect on y\our progress.
