Dear editor,
I am a teacher at Beddington Elementary. While I love our annual book fair, I also want readers to know how much work it is for teachers. It would be great if more parents volunteered or the local librarians helped out at the event. Each pair of extra helping hands would help the weary teachers greatly!
The fair lasts for a week, which means the teachers stay after school to help out. We do this in addition to our many class- related activities. Nothing makes teachers happier than kids who like to buy and read books. However, the added tasks we do for the kids tend to take away our time from our families.
