Many larger local law enforcement departments have established focused departments within the
organization to address services and crimes unique to the city. For example, a number of large cities with
subway or rail systems have created a transit police department, others a park police department. Thinking of
your own community or the largest city in your region, discuss the need to create focused police
departments. Describe the proposed mission, goals and need for at least two such departments. Your answer
should draw from the learning you have achieved in this and other courses, and should be a minimum of 300-
words.
