Place a heater in the larger hole in the block. Connect the ammeter, power pack and heater in series. Connect the voltmeter across the power pack. Use the pipette to put a small amount of water in the other hole and then place the thermometer in to make a thermal contact. Switch the power pack to 12V, take the initial voltage and current readings, which should not change during the investigation. Take temperature readings every minute for 10 minutes.
