First grade teacher Carrie Dalrymple is reading Eating the
Alphabet: Fruits & Vegetables from A to Z, by Lois Ehlert, to a
small group of children. When Carrie gets to the Ps and reads
about pomegranates, 7-year-old Jayden exclaims, "What's that
thing?" Carrie explains that a pomegranate is a fruit, to which
Jayden exclaimed, "No way!" The next day, Carrie showed Jayden
a pomegranate. She let him touch, feel, and smell it. Then she
sliced it up, and invited him to taste it. During the process Carrie
explained where pomegranates come from.

accommodation?
