Assessment Item 2-Discussion and Reflection
This activity has been developed to provide you with an opportunity to identify, and reflect, on
perspectives about Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures, and the experiences
that have informed these perspectives.
You need to undertake a discussion with two other people, based on your current knowledge of
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples' culture. In the discussion, you will consider where
the ideas' that are raised about Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples' culture have come
from.
You need to take notes on the discussion, which will be submitted as part of this assessment task.
Following the discussion, you need to write a reflective summary (approximately 150 words),
providing details of:
The different perspectives presented
What experiences have informed them
Your thoughts on the perspectives
Complete your reflective summary in the worksheet provided. You also need to attach the notes of
your discussion to this assessment (online students-upload to CANVAS). Make sure you include your
name and the question number on your work.
