can someone help me on doing intro and body paragraph on prom.

Using at least 5 sources to back up your claims, take a position on the big promposal. What should people consider? Should this tradition continue? How should a person approach the idea of asking someone to prom.

Intro: Start with a big idea–Romance, Dating, Stress, Embarrassment, High School rituals. Example: The biggest fear in my high school students’ lives is being embarrassed.

Second sentence build on first: There is nothing worse than slipping in the mud on a rainy day or getting hit with a bomb from a passing seagull.

Transition to your subject, prom: One of the most embarrassing things a high school student can experience is getting rejected by a prospective date in front of the entire campus.

Introduce Promposals: This happens to kids all over the country in the weeks leading up to prom because too many are going for the ultimate promposal.

Thesis: When it comes to the big ask, people should consider the risk of embarrassing themselves or their date before they do something over the top.

Body Paragraph: Start with a claim taken from your thesis:
Before asking a person publicly it is best to consider if your date would like all the attention.

Provide evidence: For example, in her article ____, Beth Harpaz states, “...the boy’s date was extremely shy and hated the public nature of the ask.”

Discuss significance: Many people are excited about getting asked to prom, but would rather be asked privately.

Elaborate on why: The commotion of a public ask and the buzz surrounding it in the days afterward can be too much for some people to handle.

Add an example from another source: Additionally, Kim Jordan in her article ____ notes that a teacher from Rockway, New Jersey said one of her students was rejected when a girl selected the “no” cupcake when a boy presented her with his cakey invitation.

Further explain how damaging it can be: The no response was literally a “crush cake” and the boy was laughed out of the classroom. No one should put themselves at risk to shaming themselves.

Concluding Sentence saying what people should do: Ultimately, if you’re going to ask a person, you should know them very well and what their reaction might be–even if it could be a “no.”

please and thank you <3. :)
