4. Monica is a 25 year old woman who has chronic renal failure and has been on
the transplant waiting list and receiving dialysis for two years. Her physician
tells her that her condition is worsening and that she desperately needs a new
kidney. Monica has an identical twin who would be a perfect match;
however, her sister is incarcerated át a federal prison for five years. Monica
would like her sister to be released so that she can serve as her kidney donor.
Should Monica's sister be permitted to be her kidney donor, even if she would
have to be released early from prison to do so? Explain your thoughts.
