The career services center at your school is conducting a series of brief presentation on companies both local and national/international that students might want to learn about as potential employees. You are to prepare an oral presentation about a company of your choice for students at your school who are entering the job market. You can use either Prezi or MS PPP to prepare for your presentation.
Carefully plan your presentation to be between (10-15) slides. Support your presentation that has the following:
An introductory slide to identify the company
An overview slide, listing the topics your presentation is going to cover
A slide for each main section of your presentation
A closing slide with the main point you want to leave with people
The following kinds of information might be appropriate to include in your presentation (Please include 6 out of the 9 company specifics.
Company’s outputs (products, services), the industry to which it belongs
Company’s size (dollars in sales/revenue, number of employees), ownership, financial health
Company’s history (How founded? When? By whom? Main achievements and/crisis in the company’s history
Company’s structure (If possible, include an organizational chart at the end of the report and refer to it in your report.
Company’s employee (labor force, unionized or not, kinds of expertise values)
Company’s position in the industry or main competitors, company’s market/customers
Company’s culture/mission/management styles/work experience
Current problems challenges facing the company
Any unique traits of the company or industry that are important to mention to the prospective employees
Include at least five Web and two non-Web references in your presentation (that is, material in a publication or database).
