2. Why do you think Martin Luther King Jr. appealed to so many people?
3. Why do you think so many white Americans in the North, many of whom did not want African-Americans to live in their neighborhoods, were convinced by the events in this video to support the Federal Government intervening to end Jim Crow segregation?
4. When the events in the video happened there were only three or four television channels and they only had about an hour of news programming per day. Would the reaction to these events have been different with modern 24 hour partisan news channels and social media?
