I think the part of the experiment that was essential for getting good results was the amount of yeast and sugar put into the water. I believe that varying the amount of yeast and sugar could've changed the size of the balloons. And if more sugar was added, the balloons probably could've grown bigger. The lab did help me understand the concept of cellular respiration better because it used the sugar and the yeast to demonstrate how the energy was pulled from the sugar to create foam/oxygen with the yeast to make the balloon grow.
