1. What did you discover about the major campaign donors for the politicians you chose? What, if anything, surprised you about the donors and/or the sums of money they contributed?
2. How did the major donors you researched benefit from supporting their candidate? Did the donors benefit, either directly or indirectly, from decisions the politician made after gaining office? If so, how so? If not, offer a possible explanation for why the donors would have made such a generous contribution.
3. Based on your experience with this activity, how would you evaluate the role of money in democratic elections? Do you think the role that money plays in politics in a democratic country is good, bad, or neutral? Justify your feelings.
