Outsiders Chapter two

On looseleaf answer the following question we
started in class:
"I wouldn't have felt so embarrassed if they had
been greasy girls--- I might even
have helped old Dallas. But those two girls weren't
our kind."
In chapter two of The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton,
Ponyboy chose to behave differently in front of
Soc girls. Describe how Ponyboy's behavior would
have been different if he was with "greasy girls."
Why did he change his image in front of the soc
girls? Use two details from the novel to support
your response.
