basic operation for lab simulation: place check marks on displacement, mass equilibrium, and movable line. keep gravity 9.8 m/s2 (default). set damping to none. set mass to 50 g and spring constant 1 to small. drag the mass on spring. press the red button (on top) to set the system in equilibrium. move the red line to match the tip of spring. drag ruler out of toolbox and measure the displacement x (between the blue and red line). test and understand all functional tools on screen. you must practice figuring out what is the best way to complete the measurement.
