A coil of wire lies in the xy plane. A magnet with its North Pole pointing upwards is dropped from beneath the coil so it falls away from the loop in the negative z direction.
a) What is the direction of the induced current across the front of the coil?(+y)
b) Would that induced current be considered clockwise or counterclockwise?(CCW about Z)
c) What is the direction of the magnetic force acting on the coil of wire?(-Z)
d) Would the magnet fall with an acceleration less than equal to or greater than 9.8m/s^2(Less than)
Please provide the answers with the pictures so I can understand better.
