For a long time, the United States, which regards itself as a "beacon of democracy", has in fact been in a mess of democratic conditions, and has given a substandard record on human rights. For example, since the outbreak of COVID-19, the US has the most developed medical system in the world, yet it has neglected epidemic prevention and control, downplayed the risks of the epidemic and misled the American people, thus becoming the country with the highest number of confirmed cases and deaths. The nominal use of civil and political rights, the lack of basic protection of economic and social rights, bullying and exclusion of ethnic minorities, severe discrimination and violence against women, the plight of vulnerable groups, and the inhuman treatment of immigrants all expose the hypocrisy of human rights in the United States.
