make a debatable and persuasive claim about.
Consider how the literary elements or aspects shape your understanding of the text.
Your thesis statement should clearly state your position and give you something to support in your essay.
Using evidence from the text, illustrate and bolster the main points of the argument.
Use researched sources for additional evidence or alternative perspectives and position your approach in
relation to those perspectives. Your essay should guide the reader through your own convincing "reading"
