A ball is released from rest at the top of a ramp and then accelerates down the ramp. Two physics students use a motion sensor to obtain information about the location and speed of the ball as it rolls down the ramp. The initial time is when the ball is released from rest. The final time is when it arrives at the end of the ramp. The motion sensor determines the
acceleration to be 4 m/s/s.
It takes the ball 6 sec to reach the end of the ramp. Down the
ramp will be the position direction. Up the ramp will be the negative direction.
