Microscopic plants known as phytoplankton are discovered in a local pond. A new apartment complex is being built next to the pond changing the amount of sunlight the phytoplankton receive. The phytoplankton that were receiving 8-12 hours of sunlight each day will now have between 2-5 hours of sunlight. How will the phytoplankton be affected by the new apartment building?.
