Inattentive Listeners
Ms. Wayland has just attended a workshop about the importance of oral language development. It has caused her to think about how the children in her classroom behave during the show-and-tell activity time that she has during large group time on Fridays. Despite her reminding the children to be a "good audience" for one another, it hasn't been working very well. They quickly become restless and inattentive while other children are speaking.
