This project will focus on using the principles of marketing discussed in this unit to create your own company, including the creation of a product or service, advertising for that product or service to reach a target market, and all the components for a successful marketing mix. If you have already completed Business Ventures Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 from the first three units, you may continue to base Part 4 on that business, or you can start with a new business. Your main goal for this project is to create your own company and a product or service that it will provide. Next, you will need to develop advertising for that product or service, so you can reach your target market. Finally, you will explain how you plan on using all the elements of the marketing mix.

Business Ventures - Part 4
Using the information learned in Unit 4, create a company, including the creation of a product or service.
Next, create the advertising for that product or service to reach a target market. Advertising can include a flyer, brochure, commercial, video, website, etc. Make sure you are advertising to a target market.
Finally, explain how you will use the elements of a marketing mix. Remember if you create a business that is an industry you need to use the 4P's (product, price, place, and promotion). If you choose to create a service business, you need to use the 7P's (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical).
*Note* If you create an industry business, your paragraph for Step 3 should be at least 100 words. If you create a service business, your paragraph should be at least 150 words.
A completed assignment will include:
A word processing document containing an advertisement for your business (flyer, brochure, video, etc.); and
A paragraph that explains either the 4P's or 7P's of your business.
When submitting written assignments, please remember to:
Check for spelling, punctuation, and grammar mistakes.
Use standard English (no slang or abbreviations).
Include citations for all references.
