There was a small crowd gathered near the shoreline, peering out at something in the water. Carolina's eyes darted left to right as she scanned the surface of the ocean. Suddenly, something caught her eye. Although she didn't immediately know what it was, she had an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.
Debbie felt it, too. "Do you see that?" she asked. Carolina nodded, and the three girls craned their necks to better investigate.
