Part C: How will the Sun's luminosity and temperature change as it ages?
As the Sun ages it will explode in a massive supernova. Then, the area that
housed the Sun will collapse and form a black hole engulfing most of the Milky
Way galaxy.
As the Sun ages it will become a supergiant and its luminosity will increase.
Then, as the Sun nears the end of its life cycle it will result in a massive
supernova that engulfs the entire solar system.
As the Sun ages it will become a giant and its luminosity will increase while its
surface temperature decreases. Then, as the Sun nears the end of its life cycle it
will lose its outer layers and become a white dwarf.
As the Sun ages it will become a giant and its luminosity will decrease while its
surface temperature increase. Then, as the Sun nears the end of its life cycle it
will lose its outer layers and become a brown dwarf.
